id love one of those penbury flats for free . All mod cons and now even have solar panels of the roof all provided by the government !! Nice lucky lucky individuals. Much better than the slums of many countries around the world
Why hate police they protect us they fuk with that community because they are constantly breaking the law …
Lack of opportunity my arse. My wife is from Thailand, first week she was here, she went to Wetherspoons to enquire about bar work…second week she started work there – unsurprisingly there wasn’t too many British people working there, mostly Poles as well. Dress smarter, lose the yeah bruv, innit bullshit slang (Starky for the win!!) and you’ll start getting somewhere.
If Cameron wants to punish some of these rioters, just airlift them to California and then parachute them into Compton in LA and let them see how long they will last being a plastic G.
Hold on…don’t these kids call THEMSELVES rudeboys? And isn’t the ‘bad attitude’ they talk about a two-way process – a vicious circle, in fact?
I only feel sorry for the kids who don’t belong to gangs and don’t get themselves into trouble, but get stopped and searched by the police nonetheless, simply because they dress in a particular manner (perhaps so that they won’t stand out and get picked upon by gang members).
And while we’re on the subject of attitude, here’s a public service announcement from Chris Rock:

😉
*sigh*
The young people are speaking from thier experiences not anyone elses so for all you small minded people who want to respond with negative comments … remember this is not your reality its someone elses …. Talking Blus published in 1978 .. speaks about its relationship with the police ……. No nothing has changed…yet !.
Dee, it may be their ‘reality’, but other people have to share an environment with them – people whose take on the realities of the situation may be very different from theirs.
By all means, let’s listen to what young people – including self-confessed gang members – have to say about what they see as their opportunities in life and their relationships with the police; but, by the same token, we need to question (and, more importantly, get THEM to question) the objectivity of their views. Perhaps, in some cases, an adjustment in attitude towards their peers and towards authority figures is part of what’s required to move forwards.
