Young man found stabbed in Stoke Newington in latest knife attack

A young man was found with knife wounds in Stoke Newington today in the latest in a spate of stabbings locally.

He is thought to be aged in his late teens and has been taken to a major trauma centre.

The incident is believed to have happened close to Stoke Newington Police Station, and detectives from the Met’s gang unit have been informed.

A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: “Police were called shortly before 12:30pm on Thursday, 17 November to reports of a man stabbed at a business premises in Stoke Newington High Street, N16.

“Officers attended and found a man, believed to be in his late teens, suffering from stab wounds

“He was taken to an East London hospital in a serious condition.

“The actual stabbing is believed to have occurred at a separate venue.

“Two people have been arrested for affray and a third person was arrested for affray and possession of a knife.

“Enquiries continue.”
