Political rivals will vie for votes at the Arcola Theatre, where residents will get the chance to quiz Hackney’s incumbent Mayor Jules Pipe and challengers for what is arguably the most influential job in the borough.

Ahead of next month’s mayoral election the Hackney Citizen is hosting a free debate at the Dalston venue from 4pm-6pm. It will be chaired by Arcola Executive Director Dr Ben Todd.

The event will be a chance for residents to quiz representatives from all parties fielding candidates in the Mayoral election on issues that the Council is responsible for:

Education / Schools
Housing and Council Tax
Environment and Enforcement Services
Highways, Traffic and Transport
Waste, Recycling and Street Cleansing
Children and Youth Services
Adult and Wellbeing Services
Sports, Parks, Libraries and Museums
Planning and Regeneration

Readers can submit questions for panellists to answer in advance. Simply email your name and question to office@hackneycitizen.co.uk.
