A 6am rave in Shoreditch could be the very thing to banish lethargy – even for those who hate mornings.

Morning Glory, a monthly event held at Village Underground, shuns the often alcohol and drug-fuelled clubbing scene and focuses instead on energising jaded workers with dancing, music, massage, yoga and vitamin-packed smoothies – and all before these Londoners even start their daily commute.

Youth worker, Emma Vine, 37, said: “Being a non-drinker I felt it had been specially created for me. It revived my hope and reminded me that my main reason for being is to have fun without being reckless, connect with others, take part, be seen and not worry about what anyone else thinks.”
