    Hi
I work for a Domestic Violence service and this case feels like a Domestic Violence murder. However it seems that the press, (in general) always seems to be reluctant to call DV murders, murder, but prefer to call them Domestic incidents. Why is that?

Maybe it’s because “murder” is a legal concept that can only be established once a trial has taken place? Some media are lazy/unprofessional with this and will prejudge it “murder” before facts are established. For example, a killing might be down to manslaughter because of diminished responsibility. But that’s only my lay opinion.
