Hackney and Tower Hamlets under 15s football team

Hackney and Tower Hamlets Schools beat Mid Sussex 3-1 against Mid Sussex in the third round of the English Schools Football Association Under 15s’ Cup.

Hackney and Tower Hamlets dominated the game on Tuesday 10 November at Hassocks Football Club in Brighton, with all three goals from Curtly McIntosh.

Mid Sussex Manager and ex England under 18s Manager Peter Chisholm said, “Hackney and Tower Hamlets team has the potential to go a long way in the oldest youth football competition in the world, which dates back to 1905.

“Many of the boys could follow in the footsteps of previous Hackney and Tower Hamlets Schools players and go on to play professional football such as Ashley Cole, Ledley King, Jay Lloyd-Samuel, Danny Shittu, Darren Purse and Lee Bowyer.”
