Titbits – Poetry and promotion

◆ According to the ‘AI overview’ from Google search: “The phrase ‘we are in the forge’ likely refers to a metaphorical space where something is being shaped or moulded, often under pressure or intense conditions. It suggests a process of transformation, refinement, or strengthening. The phrase could also be a reference to a specific place or event, like the poem We Are in the Forge mentioned on LinkedIn.” Titbits will just leave it there.

◆ A newsletter from an excitable Hackney Council offered locals the chance to win £2,000 in a contest to design a new logo for the Kingsland Shopping Centre. The competition is a “key milestone” in developer Criterion Capital’s “wider vision to transform the centre into a thriving, community-focused destination”, according to the Town Hall. Criterion, of course, is run by controversial billionaire landlord Asif Aziz, who has faced protests over his business decisions. But clearly still deserving of the council’s free PR!
