Well Street Common assault: appeal for witnesses after man left in critical condition

A 24-year-old man remains in a critical condition in hospital following an assault near Well Street Common, with police appealing for witnesses.

Officers were called to Victoria Park Road at 1.12am on Sunday 12 July after reports of the attack. On arrival they found a 24-year-old man with a head injury.

The London Ambulance Service rushed him to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. His next of kin have been informed.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.
