Greenpeace activists have put up posters, opposing the equating of opposing genocide with supporting terrorism, at bus stops across the capital.

The posters were put on display yesterday afternoon, Friday 8 August, near the site of the protest against the proscription of Palestine Action organised by Defend Our Juries, that is taking place today.

Note: The headline and opening sentence of this story were changed at 13:50 on Wednesday 13 August 2025 to reflect that fact that the posters implicitly, rather than explicitly, protest the proscription of Palestine Action.

The government needs to wake up to the fact that calling an organisation ‘terrorist’ which has never harmed, nor sought to harm, human life undermines respect for the rule of law. The Home Secretary should put on her big girl pants, admit she’s overstepped the mark and remove this stupid proscription. Otherwise the cost of policing, courts and prison as the protests against it continue, will dwarf the £17 million damage the authorities claim Palestine Action caused.

Poor Penny – dim as ever. The damage to RAF aircraft by her Palestine Action (PA) friends and the RAF base , and the attacks on Jewish owned buildings, or sites allegedly connected to arms making – where people work – are indeed potentially going to cause harm to life and limb as the damage done severely restrict our ability to defend ourselves in a very dangeous world . Clearly Wrout would rather wait till somebody is hurt or killed, or some external attack kills hundreds, before admitting she is wrong – and then of course it is too late. Pre-empting violence is always the answer in reality- if it can be done – and advice from the highest level of the Security Services in the UK – to the Home Secretary – made it clear of the real and present danger Palestine Action represent to us all. Which is of course why she is Home Secretary and you and your kind hopefully never will be.
