A Clapton artist whose colourful paintings explore life across the borough returning to Springfield Park Cafe for a new show.
Cath Pater-Lancucki, a retired set designer who discovered her passion for art during the pandemic, has previously had her work displayed at the venue.
These artworks included stunning recreations of scenes in Hackney, including swimmers and rowers on the River Lea..
This time, Pater-Lancucki is going beyond the borough’s borders.
“This series will include a more personal reflection and my observations of life travelling around the country and New York,” she told the Citizen.

Visitors can expect depictions of the Big Apple’s Fifth Avenue, as well as paintings of life in other parts of London, including night-time in Soho and a rain-soaked Whitechapel.
That’s not to say Hackney won’t be represented, with Pater-Lancucki’s popular landscapes of London Fields Lido, West Reservoir and the Lea also featuring.
On returning to the cafe, located inside Springfield House, she added: “This beautiful Georgian House affords the scale and size for these large art pieces, within a beautiful setting.”
The exhibition runs from 18 June until 3 September 2025 at Springfield Park Cafe, Springfield Park, E5 9EF.
