Police are hunting the boyfriend of a reality TV star who was injured in Sunday’s ‘acid attack’ at the Mangle nightclub in London Fields.
Arthur Collins, 25, is wanted for questioning over the incident in Sidworth Street which left 20 people with burns injuries.
Collins is the boyfriend of The Only Way is Essex star Fern McCann, who was not with him on Sunday night.
Police believe an acidic substance was used on two men in their 20s inside the venue during a LoveJuice club night after a dispute.
Two victims remain in a serious but stable condition in a specialist burns unit in an Essex hospital, according to the Met.
Detectives are appealing for information about Collins, who is from Hertfordshire, and two other men are wanted for questioning. Officers are reviewing CCTV footage from the venue.
“We now have 20 people suffering from the effects of an acidic substance being sprayed in a confined space in a busy nightclub,” said Detective Inspector Lee McCullough, from Hackney CID, who is leading the investigation.
“If you were there and saw anyone involved inside or leaving the nightclub, please get in touch.”
The appeal comes after police raided an address in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, on Monday in relation to the Mangle investigation.
Two people in their 50s were arrested and firearms and cannabis plants seized, though police said these arrests were unrelated to the nightclub attack.
