Hackney Citizen shortlisted for prestigious Niche Market Newspaper of the Year award

Judges at the 2014 Newspaper Awards have shortlisted the Hackney Citizen for the prestigious Niche Market Newspaper of the Year award.

The Hackney Citizen was picked as a finalist alongside specialist national publications including The Catholic Herald and First News.

Other competitors for the gong include Farmers Guardian and Motor Cycle News.

Winning and commended entries will be announced on 1 April at a ceremony at the Hilton on Park Lane.

In 2011 the Hackney Citizen was a Newspaper Awards finalist in the Best Use of New Media category.
