The Royal Voluntary Service is a leading voluntary organisation and charity, delivering services for older people in local communities and hospitals throughout the UK.
We are looking for a Falls Prevention Befriending Service Manager to coordinate our new service in Hackney, beginning in April 2014.
The post holder will help recruit and manage a team of volunteers who will befriend older people in Hackney, at risk of having falls. There will also be awareness raising events on falls prevention held throughout the borough which the post holder will organise and attend. This role requires very good administrative and people skills as well as the ability to achieve targets on your own initiative.
This is a part-time position working 20 hours over at least 3 days per week, paying £8.52 per hour.
The contract is for 1 year initially, but may be extended if further funding is secured.
