Detectives investigating murder of Antonio Rodney-Cole arrest two men

Detectives investigating the murder of Antonio Rodney-Cole, 22, of Colvestone Crescent, Dalston, have arrested two men on suspicion of murder.

The Metropolitan Police said the men, aged 19 and 22, were arrested yesterday at an address in Hackney.

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information following the murder.

Police were called shortly after 11:30am on Monday 2 December to reports of a man, later identified as Mr Rodney-Cole, suffering stab wounds in Marton Road, Stoke Newington.

He was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

It is believed he was stabbed in nearby Oldfield Road but got in his car and left the scene, pulling over in Marton Road, where he was initially treated before being taken to hospital.

Prior to being stabbed it is believed Mr Rodney-Cole had been talking with two men in Oldfield Road.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw the victim talking to the men in Oldfield Road. They are also keen to hear from anyone who was in or around the Oldfield Road and Marton Road area who saw or heard anything that may assist the investigation.
