Hackney record label launches TV project

NSD.TV's founders hope to bring their YouTube channel to national television

A record label has launched a new online television channel to showcase their artists to a growing international fan base.

Never Say Die is an electronic dance music label based in Westgate Street, London Fields, and it has seen its popularity soar in the past year, leading to the launch of the new channel, NSD.TV.

The record label will be releasing regular episodes through their YouTube channel that give the viewer a rundown of what is going on in the electronic dance music scene.

The label’s boss Nick Sadler said he started the channel to boost the profile of a sometimes overlooked style of music.

He said: “It was frustration at the lack of coverage our genre of dance music was getting. Also with the rise of YouTube it’s the best way to let fans know what’s going on in the scene.”

Started in 2009 by Sadler and his business partner Tommy Dash, the label has worked with a number of internationally acclaimed artists including Foreign Beggars and Skrillex, the latter giving them a shout out during his 2012 Grammy acceptance speech at the Los Angeles awards ceremony.

Mr Sadler and the NSD team feel ‘blessed’ at the international popularity they have received and hope that NSD.TV will continue to grow.

He said: “Eventually we’d love to see it syndicated onto national television.”

For the first episode of NSD.TV, presented by Emerald Rose, go to We Will Never Say Die.
