Annual art event, Lido Love, will return to the London Fields Lido on Saturday 28 January for its third year running.

Building on the success of 2010 and 2011, this year’s one-night festival will bring art, music, film, and performance to the changing rooms, poolside and pool of the much loved Lido – the only Olympic-size outdoor heated swimming pool in London.

Arts Council England will be supporting this year’s event, which means visitors can expect two hours of interactive performances and art installations from local and international artists.

Watch out for Hackney artist Emily Tracy, who will be presenting her floating installation, which will illuminate the pool.

London’s Patrick Coyle will also be presenting his online twitter project that culminates in a live performance of the 140 character conversations, and a new performance by renowned international artist Doug Fishbone will link the Lido’s history and sporting events.

Visitors can also expect dry-land synchronised swimming from the performance group Figs in Wigs, and ‘Cardioke’: an interactive show that will build throughout the night by emerging theatre company Bad Physics.

Hilary Powell will be screening ‘Fleeting’: her film of a large scale installation she created in the Lido in 2003 when the pool was abandoned and squatted for a number of years.

Legendary Lido band Bon Bon Kaotikai, who formed during the squatted years, will also be returning to their old stomping grounds as they perform at this year’s festival.
