At Home with the Ludskis

At Home with the Ludskis is a unique late night exhibition, to be held at the Rio cinema, of stimulating short film, video art, performance and installation, and innovative painting and photography, curated by Granny Ludski and her anonymous team.

The event is a tribute to Clara Ludski, a Russian immigrant who, in 1909, founded the Kingsland Palace. This was the first electric picture house on the site on which the Rio Cinema now stands in all its distinctive Art Deco glory. At Home with the Ludskis breaks away from the traditional art exhibition and the typical cinema going experience, to create something startling and thought-provoking.
