Win a pair of tickets to see French-Nigerian Soul-pop sensation Asa and Reggae superstar Tiken Jah Fakoly perform live at the Barbican on Monday 4 April.

The performers are two of West Africa’s best-known contemporary artists.

Nigerian songster Asa is a household name in France following the success of her new album Beautiful Imperfection (certified Gold Record in January 2011).

Her powerful vocals and stirring melodies soar above funky rhythms, and she is hot property on the continent with her Best Female Artist nomination in this year’s Les Victoires de la musique (French Music Awards).

The performance on 4 April is the only UK date of her European tour.

Ivory Coast reggae star Tiken Jah Fakoly is equally intriguing. Jamaican grooves underpinned by lush African instrumentation make Tiken Jah Fakoly one of Africa’s most gifted reggae artists.
