Candidates in place for Hackney mayoral race

Hackney Town Hall, Mare Street
With nominations now closed, six candidates are vying to become the next Mayor of Hackney.
They are, In alphabetical order by surname:
Andrew Boff, Conservative party
Cllr Mischa Borris, Green party
Adrian Gee-Turner, Liberal Democrat party
Monty Goldman, Communist Party
Jules Pipe, Labour party
William Thompson, Christian Party.
The mayoral election is taking place on Thursday 6 May, the same day as the General Election and those for local councillor seats.
Why does the official Hackney Mayoral literature exclude any information about the Conservative candidate, Andrew Boff?
No. This is not an offensive comment. It is a legitimate question.
Because the Conservative candidate didn’t read the rules properly and has spend the intervening three weeks complaining he was “banned”.
The rules concerned were passed by parliament two years ago and have been publicly available since then. Since even the Communists managed to follow them without a problem (and I do agree that they are restrictive – but they apply to all candidates equally) I can’t imagine how he managed to ignore them.
