Historical hike round Hackney Wick

The location of the Hackney Wick Conservation Area next to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games site has attracted investment and development interest

Walk the Wick with the Hackney Society

The Hackney Society is leading a hike around Hackney Wick and the Olympic border on Saturday 20 March.

The walk will cover the history of the area, including the people and industries that shaped the Wick, or the Sink as it was known.

There will also be a stop for lunch at the Hackney Pearl.
