Eighteenth century Clissold House, as foreseen under the new plans

Clissold Park User Group‘s (CPUG) Annual General Meeting will be held at the St Mary’s Church Rooms (rear of the church, Stoke Newington Church Street) at 11 am on Saturday 13 March.

This is happening a week later than planned, due to problems finding an available room while the Park Mansion is being refurbished.

The User Group will be hearing reports from park management and the project manager of the park and mansion refurbishment programme.

The major works that have now begun in the park have temporarily closed off some areas and the User Group is inviting people to come and put your views and concerns about this – and anything else that affects your enjoyment of Clissold Park.

Committee officers for the next year will be elected by those attending the meeting.

Those holding these positions currently are :

Chair: Ken Worpole
Vice Chairs: Matt Jeary, Caroline Millar
Meetings Secretary: Yvonne Hill
Communications Secretary: John Hudson
Treasurer: Barbara McFarlane

Three from the above act as CPUG representatives at the Hackney Council’s Refurbishment Project Stakeholders meetings

In addition the following representatives have been co-opted to the committee for particular interests:

Children’s/Young People: Tim Linehan, Lisa Gormley
Seniors:  Sylvia Anderson

Clissold Park User’ Group says that it welcomes fresh faces to the committee, so let them know you are you interested in playing a part.
