Is London British? Iain Sinclair in conversation with Bonnie Greer

Writer Bonnie Greer

Playwright, author and critic Bonnie Greer

How does your environment shape the way you think and who you are?

Come to this unique event that will challenge Nick Griffin’s recent contention on Question Time that London isn’t ‘British.’

Playwright, author and critic Bonnie Greer talks about this and her new book, Obama Music and why place is so important in shaping identity.

Poet Yang Lian discusses his collection, Lee Valley Poems, conceived and written in London, somewhere he describes as once his exile and now his home.

The event will be chaired by Iain Sinclair, psycho-geographer and author of Hackney: That Rose-Red Empire.

Pages of Hackney presents Iain Sinclair in conversation with Bonnie Greer and Yang Lian.
