De Beauvoir Association to host Hackney South hustings on 22 May

Once more unto the polls... In 2016 we voted often

Polling stations open on 8 June.

Parliamentary hopefuls for Hackney South and Shoreditch will vie for votes at a hustings backed by the Citizen in De Beauvoir on Monday evening.

With not long to go until polls open on 8 June, Reverend Julia Porter will chair what looks set to be an intriguing debate at St Peter’s Church on Northchurch Terrace.

Proceedings kick off at 7.45pm, and entry will be first come, first served, so get there a bit early to grab a seat.

Fiona Darbyshire. vice-chair of the De Beauvoir Association (DBA), said six of the 10 candidates have already confirmed they will be attending – Meg Hillier, Dave Raval, Luke Parker, Rebecca Johnson, Hugo Sugg and Russell Shaw Higgs.

This will be the third time the DBA has hosted a hustings after successful events in 2010 and 2015.
