New Asda supermarket to open in Stamford Hill

New Asda supermarket coming soon

The new Asda supermarket will open at at 158 Clapton Common, Stamford Hill, E5

Asda today announced what it describes as ‘exciting plans’ to transform the former Netto store in Stamford Hill with a half a million pound refit.

The new store will stock more than 10,000 grocery products, around four times the number of products previously sold at Netto, which Asda says will enable customers to complete a full weekly shop.

Asda Supermarkets area manager for Stamford Hill, Kevin Prince, said: “Despite being a small Asda supermarket we think customers are going to be delighted with the new store.”

The former Netto store on Clapton Common will close on Saturday 25 June and re-open as an Asda two weeks later on Monday 11 July.

The announcement follows hot on the heels of news of controversial plans by another high street giant, Sainsbury’s, to open a new store in Stoke Newington.

Sainsbury’s already has a store in Stamford Hill.
