The Hackney Citizen is a free, independent community newspaper.

Written and run by residents of the borough, it seeks to champion investigative and citizen journalism. It also features contributions from local freelance journalists.

Published four times a year, the most recent issue is Spring 2010 which was published Tuesday 2 March. Delivered door-to-door in selected areas of N16, E8, E5 and E9 postcodes, it is also available elsewhere, including in all public libraries in the borough.
